THE PONDMASTER AP-SERIES air pumps have been designed to satisfy the requirements of a multitude of water-related applications.
All AP-Series air pumps operate on standard 110V electric and come with a 6' power cord.
The non-oil lubricated motor is designed to operate efficiently and save energy. For outdoor applications, it is recommended that the unit be enclosed to protect it from the elements.
These are beautifully designed, environmentally friendly pumps. A variety of sizes are available, as well as replacement parts.
The Hakko Air Manifolds are important for two reasons. You get the ability to send air to various areas within the pond or lake vent off potential back pressure.
The Tetra Whisper 150 Air Pump has a patented dome shape and sound-dampening chambers mean virtually silent operation. Improved design with suspended pump motor and rubber feet eliminate vibrations while thick walls insulate motor noise. Helps maintain optimum oxygen levels in your aquarium and delivers ample airflow for deepwater applications. Use with undergravel filters, airstones and bubble wands.

Hakko Air Pumps
Hakko Air Pumps are high volume diaphragm pumps designed for a variety of low-pressure applications.
Koi pond aeration, large aquarium aeration and earth pond destratification are only a few of the many applications for Hakko pumps.
Hakko pumps are compact, affordable, energy-efficient and very, very quiet (less than 38 decibels!)!
Hakko units utilize linear- motor theorem to reduce power consumption during full operation. Units are extremely quite utilizing spectrum analysis technology in order to decrease any mechanical noise. No oil needed for lubrication making the Hakko easy to maintain. 18 month warranty through the manufacturer

The magnet is the part that moves back and forth with the diaphragm. It holds the diaphragm secure and vice a versa.
Typically the magnet is very long lasting. However if you run the air pump with bad diaphragms for extended periods you could wear down the magnet.
If you open the motor for repair and you find dust or small metal particles you may need to replace the magnet. Always inspect the magnet for wear and tear when you replace your diaphragms. They are very easy to replace.
